Famous photoartists of the world, 2008-2011
Tania D'Avignon Exhibition, Newton, USA
Tania D'Avignon
Tania D’Avignon uses her camera to freeze moments. Her friendly, easygoing, yet respectful interest in photographing people relaxes them and enables her to capture their true character. Tania’s artistic nature and quick eye keep her sensitive to the surrounding environment. She is constantly observant of nature on its grand scale, as well as in its fine details, and records it for posterity. The resulting photographs are neither static and grandiose, nor strained. She captures unbridled life in all its manifestations. People communicate emotions, be it a look, a smile, a gesture. Nature emerges as poetry of color and form and makes us want to take another look at what we have missed. Tania Mychajlyshyn-D’Avignon is a free-lance photographer, who shares her time between her home in Newton (USA) and Kyiv (Ukraine). She graduated from Maryland Institute, College of Art with a degree in Art and Photography. Tania has worked for Allyn and Bacon Publishers, Harvard Chair of Ukrainian Studies, National Geographic Magazine, Time-Life Publishers and International Institute of Boston. In 1998, her book Simply Ukraine appeared in print. During the 2002-03 academic year she was a Fulbright Scholar doing research at the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in Kyiv. Tania has had over 80 personal photo exhibits in different countries. Her photos have appeared in hundreds of books, magazines and newspapers. She is an avid traveler and has photographed on four continents. See more photos here: www.tania-davignon.com |
