Zeng Yi is the professor, postgraduate advisor, and curator of the Art Gallery of Shandong University of Art and Design, expert entitled to Government Special Allowance, chairman of Eastern International Photography Association, curator of Modern East Art Gallery, chief representative in China of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), vice-chairman of Shandong Provincial Photographers Association, and chairman of Jinan Photographers Association.

The photographic works of Zeng Yi have been exhibited for several times in Europe, the United States, and some Asian countries, for which he has won many international awards, such as "Asian Cultural Center Award" by UNESCO, "Korea Sungkyunkwan Grand Award”, and "Special Award of Photography of Korea Cheng Shiu International Art Exhibition" etc. He has planned a number of large-scale art exhibitions and important international academic exchange activities, serving as the judge of many international and domestic large exhibitions such as “China’s 15th National Photographic Exhibition", "China's 1st Trial Competition of Photographic Works for International Exhibitions", and " Korea Cheng Shiu International Art and Photography Exhibition” etc. He has ever planned lots of international and domestic exhibition events like "Art Exhibition of Italian Contemporary Art Master Mimmo Rotella", "China Tour Exhibition of Picasso’s Prints", "Photographic Exhibition of China’s Confucius Culture", "China's National Youth Photographic Competition in the International Year of Peace”, "China's 1st Top 10 Young Photographers Appraisal", "China Jinan Contemporary International Photography Biennial Exhibition”, and “International University Students Photography Art Exhibition” etc. He has compiled and published over 20 photographic albums and works, such as "The Great Confucius", "The Destiny", "International Contemporary Excellent Photographic Works Collection", "Picasso—The Great Centennial Master ", and " Best & Classic Prints Collection of Great Centennial Master Picasso" etc. On the invitation of many organizations like Fédération Internationale d'Art Photographique (FIAP), Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Images Sans Frontieres, United Photographers International (UPI), and Italian Cultural Center etc., Zeng Yi has hold personal photographic exhibitions and carried out academic exchanges and teaching activities in San Francisco, Atlanta, Seoul, Rome, Turin, Florence, Bonn, Cologne, Brussels, Sao Paulo, and Buenos Aires etc.
